Concussion Certification

If you are a coach or volunteering in any capacity, it's important that we have your completed concussion certification on file. Even if you have volunteered in the past, AYSO and the CDC has new concussion training that all volunteers must take.  We understand that some people were complaining about taking the online course through eAYSO and not being able to complete it because it kept crashing.  AYSO National acknowledges the problem and has an alternative solution.  Volunteers can still complete their concussion certifications online by taking it directly through the CDC's website. After completion, you'll have the ability to download your certificate in PDF format.  Once completed, you can email AYSO National directly and they will manually enter the information.  You will need to follow these instructions carefully:

1. Complete the Concussion Training through CDC's website directly via this weblink:

2. You will be prompted to enter your name as you'd like for it to appear on your certificate once training is complete.  Complete the training by watching the video and answering the questions.

3. Once you've downloaded your completion certificate, write your AYSO ID number and Region 137 either on top or at the bottom of the certificate.  Your AYSO ID number can be obtained by logging into and viewing your certificates.

4. After writing your AYSO ID number and Region 137 on the certificate, attach it to an email and send it directly to AYSO National to this email address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

5. Our region will also need a copy so be sure to CC your division director if you are a coach.  All other volunteers should CC our region's CVPA director at this email address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

This needs to be completed ASAP.  Thank you.

Board positions available

Your local AYSO region needs your help!  As a youth sports organization that operates with 100% volunteers, we are always looking for people to help run our region.  Like all community organizations, we depend on everyone pitching in to do their part in providing your child with the best sports experience they can have during the season.  These efforts wouldn't be possible without the involvement of our volunteers and board members.  As a board member, your role will help shape the soccer experience not only for your child, but all of the kids who play soccer in our region and for seasons to come.  If you are interested, please inquire with our regional commissioner, Andrea Aguilar, by sending her an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. AYSO Region 137 Carnival - Fall 2016

In order to attend the region carnival on November 5th, families must complete the required number of shifts by Saturday, October 29th.

A minimum of 7 total volunteer shifts is required.

A volunteer shift can be any of the following:

  • 1 hour as field monitor OR tent assistant

  • 1 game refereeing games for the U10 & above divisions

  • 2 games refereeing games for the U6 & U8 divisions

A few other things to keep in mind:

  • Families that meet the requirements will receive 4 free tickets to the carnival.

  • Hours are logged by family, NOT by individuals, so the requirements can be met by multiple people from the SAME family combining hours.

  • In order for hours to count, volunteers must sign in and out in the volunteer log books. The records are kept using the OLDEST AYSO player’s name.

  • There is no need to sign up for a shift in advance.  Simply report to the referee tent on Saturdays OR to the board member on duty for weeknight games.

  • No more than 2 field monitor or tent assistant shifts per family, per day will count toward the required minimum.
